My Birthplace City

CHICAGO !!!

1960- Born in Chicago, Il. on 7/19

   |

1972- Began playing the drums thanks to the urging of my

           Uncle, Peter Cromwell ( an excellent Bassist / Guitarist. )

   |

1978- The formative years. Spent many summer vacations

            on my drums playing to Led Zeppelin, Yes and

            Genesis to name a few.

   |

1979- My first band experience ( RA, a power trio .) We played

           covers by Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Ted Nugent to name

           a few. Alot of cover band stuff.

1986- A break ! Got to play Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair,

           Mole Lake and open up for the Bellamy Bros. with

           the popular Tom "Grizzly" Adams country band.

1988- Moved to Madison,Wi. Recorded at Smart Studio's.

           Performed in 3 great bands. Mighty Vumba. A 9 piece World Groove Band with a solid following.; Apples & Oranges, winners of the UW "Battle of the

           Bands" in 1995. And my own trio, Hip Pocket. I managed

           and booked the band for 3 years. We played

           instrumental covers by Miles Davis, Jeff Beck and

           The Meters to name a few.

1998- Made the pages of Modern Drummer's "On The Move"

            column ( Look for Dave Weckl on the cover of the April 98' issue .)

1999- Attended Music Tech ( Now Mc Nally-Smith College .) mcnallysmith.edu

2000-JUST DRUMS,inc was born !!! More Freelance gigs/2005 Artist of the Week in The Oshkosh Northwestern...sweet;)

2008-09Currently free-lancing. Also planning

            on conducting some PLANET DRUM FUN!! clinics(20-30 per year) in the future and

            building a roster of drum set students of all ages at ALL ability levels.Afilliated with the PERCUSSIVE ARTS SOCIETY since 2005. :) Lots more in the tank!! More to come...Now a member of the Professional Drum Teachers Guild, and Drumsense USA(Facebook) still more...
